BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS is reviewed in the Times today.
I played Eugene in summer stock. I remember one performance when I broke up on stage.
It took stamina and control and several minutes to get back. This may have been the loveliest moment of my life.
The theatre was old fashioned and had a curtain that came down (it dropped) at the end of an act.
I loved being on stage and experiencing that old fashioned curtain falling in front of me.
I really miss that.
